As the World Cup is about to kick off it seems only fitting to post this study. It’s part of series I’m working on looking at items which have played a part in our lives and then been discarded as we move on to the next newer or better thing, perhaps forgetting some of the moments shared along the way. Here’s a spread from one of my recent shoots for T3 which can be seen in the May 2010 issue. Having found and shot a suitable location the phones were then shot individually in the studio to match the angle and perspective to their position in the location shot. Subsequently the components parts were assembled in Photoshop to create the final image. All images © Adrian Lyon.

One of the nice things about product photography is I’m quite often amongst the first to get hold of the latest cool technology gadgets and the iPad is no exception, all be it, an all to brief visit to the studio. In best Apple style it is of course great to look at, handles beautifully and is very slick in operation, although I’m not entirely sure how useful it will be for photography. A busy spring so far has seen amongst others Kudos’s fabulous speakers through the studio. The whole range was covered to create a new image bank for marketing and PR as well as a new website – kudosaudio.com.
