‘Masked Britain’ is a collection of images illustrating the environmental impact of the careless discarding of disposable face masks used during the Covid-19 pandemic. Increasingly these single use blue masks have become as endemic in my local environment as the virus they’re meant to protect us from. The masks and the plastics contained in them will live in the environment for years to come, many migrating to our rivers and oceans. Please dispose of your masks thoughtfully.
Each mask was photographed exactly as it was found. During the pandemic it’s estimated more than 50 million masks are thrown out each day in the UK.

With a launch at the Bristol Sound and Vision HiFi show imminent I was asked to shoot the new LX range of speakers from Mission. The first two models, the LX2 and LX3, made their début at the show supported by a range of photography including a selection of cut-outs and the more creative images you see above. Looking pretty good I think you’ll agree and after a quick listen at the show I can confirm they sound pretty good too, as you would expect from Mission of course! Here’s two great shots from some recent interiors shoots which I really enjoyed. It was a pleasure to study and capture the design and attention to detail that’s gone into these two properties from Stephen Dick at Residence Interior Design. I love the idea of having a bath with a view of the Shard too! You can see more of my interiors photography in my Interiors folio. All images ©Adrian Lyon.

It’s update time and so along with a few new still life and landscape images I’ve just launched a new section in my portfolio featuring interiors and exteriors. There’s some work from recent shoots for interior designers and developers plus there’s more new shots to come for this section soon. It’s really enjoyable work and although a different discipline to shooting in the studio it’s very complimentary work.
