With a launch at the Bristol Sound and Vision HiFi show imminent I was asked to shoot the new LX range of speakers from Mission. The first two models, the LX2 and LX3, made their début at the show supported by a range of photography including a selection of cut-outs and the more creative images you see above. Looking pretty good I think you’ll agree and after a quick listen at the show I can confirm they sound pretty good too, as you would expect from Mission of course! All images ©Adrian Lyon.
One of the great things about being a photographer today is the flexibility we have in producing a wide range of material out of one project. Below is a behind the scenes video from a shoot for a Pharma client we’ve put together from the materials we shot for the ads, videos and time-lapse movies, which is a great example.
As you can see the brief was to shoot a mountain bike broken down into it’s component parts and then arranged into a graphic layout. The agency needed to produce ads in addition to printed support material with a video piece for the product launch. So from the one shoot, using our specialist overhead camera rig, we produced two time-lapse movies of the bike and it’s components building up plus behind the scenes footage with a time-lapse of the shoot progressing, not forgetting, the hi res stills images for the main ad and lots of detail shots of the components for the support material. Phew!
It was a great shoot (ads to follow) and great to be able to produce so much material for the agency and clients in combining the stills and video into one shoot. All images and video ©Adrian Lyon. All rights reserved. Video music courtesy of Bonobo
I’m really pleased to announce the start of a new partnership with Gallery Stock who are a premier stock agency based in New York and London. Gallery Stock offers creative content from some of the most internationally distinguished photographers in the industry. From the Gallery Stock website “…The concept is simple: to license only the highest-quality photography to premium customers. Gallery Stock connects art buyers, photo editors, art directors, and designers with the photographers they know by name from the fine art world and the commercial assignment industry…”.
You can follow a link on the screen shot above to my images represented by Gallery Stock (which will be growing in number as the year progresses) and from there to the rest of their website. All images ©Adrian Lyon/Gallery Stock.
These beautiful components from Track Audio were part of a brochure shoot with David Denyer PR which included all their range of audio support equipment. It’s exquisitely made stuff, the attention to detail and the wonderful machining goes right across the range. A joy to photograph! All images ©Adrian Lyon.
It’s update time and so along with a few new still life and landscape images I’ve just launched a new section in my portfolio featuring interiors and exteriors. There’s some work from recent shoots for interior designers and developers plus there’s more new shots to come for this section soon. It’s really enjoyable work and makes a change to the studio, hope you like the shots! For more interiors photography please click on the images or here to link through to my portfolios. Following on from my last post about shooting interiors this is an example on a similar theme from a recent life style interior shoot for Leema Acoustics (the purveyors of very fine HiFi). These shots were all on location and for them to use for their advertising and HiFi show promotion. There’s more exciting work for Leema to follow when it hits the streets soon. New in the projects portfolio section is a selection of images from a shoot for Pfizer art directed by Sam Mahon for TBWA Palin Walters. Following on from my previous post these are projects shot as two camera with Chris Holland because such a wide range of shots were required and the action based nature of the subjects combined with a very short lead time. A fantastic shoot, go take a look here! All images ©Adrian Lyon.
Here’s our studio mailer as a reminder we have a superbly equipped south London studio base with two shooting areas and drive in access attached to a Victorian house which is often used for additional locations. People photographer Chris Holland and I combine on shoots to work as a two camera unit or run multiple sets ups in the studio to improve productivity, budgets and scheduling. One of the nice things about product photography is I’m quite often amongst the first to get hold of the latest cool technology gadgets and the iPad is no exception, all be it, an all to brief visit to the studio. In best Apple style it is of course great to look at, handles beautifully and is very slick in operation, although I’m not entirely sure how useful it will be for photography. Time will tell no doubt! All images © Adrian Lyon.
