Here’s another cover shoot for HiFi Plus, this time of the exquisitely made (and sounding apparently) Sonus Faber Amati. More images from the shoot were used to open and illustrate the review. I really enjoy getting to grips with curves and highly polished finishes of these products which is always a challenge to light, I just wish they weren’t so heavy! All images ©Adrian Lyon

Following on from my last post about shooting interiors this is an example on a similar theme from a recent life style interior shoot for Leema Acoustics (the purveyors of very fine HiFi). These shots were all on location and for them to use for their advertising and HiFi show promotion. There’s more exciting work for Leema to follow when it hits the streets soon. New in the projects portfolio section is a selection of images from a shoot for Pfizer art directed by Sam Mahon for TBWA Palin Walters. Following on from my previous post these are projects shot as two camera with Chris Holland because such a wide range of shots were required and the action based nature of the subjects combined with a very short lead time. A fantastic shoot, go take a look here! All images ©Adrian Lyon.

Here’s our studio mailer as a reminder we have a superbly equipped south London studio base with two shooting areas and drive in access attached to a Victorian house which is often used for additional locations. People photographer Chris Holland and I combine on shoots to work as a two camera unit or run multiple sets ups in the studio to improve productivity, budgets and scheduling. Here’s the cover from a recent shoot for HiFi+ (April/May 2010 issue). Amongst the Hi-Fi press it’s a title I’ve long wanted to work for so it’s pleasing to have shot the Ayre QB-9 DAC for the cover and lead review. There’s more shots inside to illustrate the review and if you haven’t already picked one up get your copy here. All images ©Adrian Lyon

As the World Cup is about to kick off it seems only fitting to post this study. It’s part of series I’m working on looking at items which have played a part in our lives and then been discarded as we move on to the next newer or better thing, perhaps forgetting some of the moments shared along the way. More to follow soon… All images © Adrian Lyon.

Here’s a spread from one of my recent shoots for T3 which can be seen in the May 2010 issue. Having found and shot a suitable location the phones were then shot individually in the studio to match the angle and perspective to their position in the location shot. Subsequently the components parts were assembled in Photoshop to create the final image. All images © Adrian Lyon.
